HELP for HELPLESS

The Sevenoaks URC has chosen to support a small charity, The Lepra Community, Chengalpattu, India - Help for Helpless.  Our Logo Group (Look Out - Go Out) was established to identify a project that we could support and one where we could make a real difference by gving our help.  The group finally selected this project which does not receive any significant help at the moment.  As well as many small projects such as thatching the roofs on their homes, buying equipment to train people etc., their dream  is to build a Day Centre for the elderly people in their community  where they can receive care, treatment and a hot meal.  This will prevent the Elderly having to go and beg for their food.  We , at the Sevenoaks URC feel this is a very worthwhile project and give it our full support.

During the year we will be holding various fund raising ventures in support of this project.
